At 1:05AM this morning a hodge-podge of students crammed themselves into elevators and road them down to the first floor. This doesn’t sound odd for Encounter, but when ya throw in techno music, strobe lights, and NERF swords, you have a totally different animal. A Flash Rave Animal. And it was viscously awesome!
Starting at the 17th floor and stopping at each one we grew in size and hype as we descended. With an audience looking on at most floors they saw the elevator bounce heavily at each pit stop, full of fun and minimal danger. As we hit the first floor the doors burst open with hoops and hollers of Rave bliss. After posing for a few photos we took up a crowd surfer and let him cruise the elevator ceiling.
As we reached our peak (the 17th floor) and began to make our final decent when a security greeted us at the 15th floor and politely asked us to get out. We did with out a fuss, thanked him for the fun time and thus concluded the first ever Elevator Flash Rave of Encounter.
